Our Story

The English Bros Funeral Home was established in 1945 by William and Thomas English to provide personal, family owned, quality funeral service to the people of all faiths in  the community of Sheepshead Bay. English Bros. Funeral Home  has been owned and operated by Frank Restivo since 1990. Frank is known to be a caring and compassionate funeral director, a highly trained expert embalmer, with expertise in  restoration and presentation of the body.  As a family owned funeral home we are honored  to offer personal service  to the family in their time of need as pay close attention to all the details and special requests to bring about the most comfort to the family and the up most dignity to the deceased. The staff of English Bros. Funeral Home are trained to understand the needs of the families we serve and to quickly accommodate them in any way we can.  Bringing about comfort to a family at the time of the death begins with the first inquiry, carries through the funeral service, and continues for as long as we are called upon to answer a question or to offer support, even well after the final disposition of the remains.  Funeral arrangements may be for an open casket viewing, closed casket visiting time only, a memorial service, a graveside service, or a private direct cremation. All of the  quality service we provide is offered at a competitive low cost rate.

Our family opened the doors of the funeral home years ago. Our reputation for providing the highest quality of service grew, and today we are privileged to serve hundreds of area families each year.
